• Minimal Precleaning – Welds through grease, rust, paint, and even steels that have moisture on them
• Dual-Phase – Welding characteristics will change depending on the current used, allowing the welder complete control over the joining process
• Excellent for small AC machines
• Penetrating arc on DC, but soft on AC
• Easy slag removal
• Tensile Strength: 103,000 PSI/710 Mpa
• Yield Strength: 87,000 PSI/600 Mpa
• Hardness: 96 Rb

Remove cracked or fatigued metal by grinding or gouging with Arc-Prep #161 electrode. Bevel heavy sections before welding. Use AC or DC current. Use a contact or a minimum arc length with a weave or stringer bead technique. Pass-over-pass can be used without chipping slag in multi-pass welds. Allow to cool slowly.
